Before Wrexham played Reading in League One, the Royals' fanbase staged a protest against owners Dai Yongge and Dai Xi Liu, and Wrexham supporters joined them. The protest was organised by the campaign group Sell Before We Dai, and saw a number of Wrexham fans don Deadpool costumes, paying tribute to co-owner Ryan Reynolds' iconic character.

Reading have had 18 points deducted under their current ownership, as they have fallen from the Championship into League One, and been served numerous winding-up orders, while also failing to deliver accounts on time to HMRC. They have just five senior players under permanent contract.

WHAT THE FANS SAID
Fans gathered together outside the stadium and held a banner which read: "We're tired of villains. Football clubs deserve heroes."
Another banner was unfurled during the game, reading: "No community should lose their club."

After Tuesday's showdown in Berkshire, Wrexham will head to promotion rivals Wycombe Wanderers this weekend, while Reading face Stevenage.
